Provision of Manned Guarding Services

Notice of extension. By contract award notice dated 21/05/2021 with OJEU reference 2021/S 098-260133, the procurement process to appoint a supplier to provide the above referenced services was abandoned for the reasons set out in that notice. Scottish Power UK plc will soon commence a new procurement exercise to appoint a supplier to provide the services. Scottish Power UK plc has an ongoing requirement for the services pending completion of the new procurement process. This notice is in respect of the extension of the existing contract pending completion of the new procurement process.

Bootle Kirkby Cable Civils & Installation

Replace 19.429km of 132kV pressurised oil filled cables with 132kV non-pressurised XLPE solid cables Replace 19.429km of underground pilot wire with fibre optic cables Supply and install all ducting for the 132kV non-pressurised XLPE solid cables and fibre optic cables Complete all civils work (excavation, backfilling and reinstatement) associated with the installation Complete a single lane width reinstatement the length of the cable route (section approx. 1.8km) on the East Lancs road (A580) following the cable installation (Section 58 requirement) Scope of this work is for the cable civils only however we are optioning the cable installation costs. Replace existing outdoor sealing end structures at Bootle, Fazakerley and Gillmoss grid substations The existing modern non-pressurised XLPE solid cable sections along the two circuits including the outdoor sealing ends structures will be retained and reused. Drain, cut and cap of redundant oil filled cables and drain all associated oil tanks

Hunterston 132kV Civil Works, GIS Building and Hunterston 400kV Modernisation Civil Works

Within the substation compound, excavations necessary for the construction of the civil works, the GIS building and associated services shall be backfilled with suitably engineered granular material. Construction of all concrete foundations (mass and reinforced concrete). Fabrication and erection of steel portal frame for the GIS building. Supply and installation of the cladding system including all purlins, side rails and provision for anti-sag as required. Supply and installation of all elements of the proposed drainage layout. Construction of new substation access roads and areas of hard standing. Excavation, installation and backfilling of all new ducted cables (including earthing and fibre optic) routes including the provision of cable tapes and/or protection boards.

Thornton North NR Feeder Station - Cable Civils & Installation Works

Supply and install of a double underground duct cable system to accommodate a fully ducted 25kV cable double circuit system from SGT3B and SGT4B at Glenrothes 275kV substation to the new Network Rail 25kV Feeder Station feeder station at Thornton North. The route length will be approx. 10.5km. Installation, testing and pre-commissioning of single core 25kV 400mm2 Cu XLPE underground cables. Horizontal Directional Drilling (HDD) works across the river Leven. Provision of suitable backfill materials, ad-hoc concrete works, cable protection tiles, cable, warning tapes and temporary surface position markers for joint bay locations. Excavation works including their backfilling and permanent reinstatements. Cleaning of the cable duct along each section of the route to ensure installation of the cables. Provision as required, of all joint bays, cable draw pits, link box chambers, FO chambers and termination chambers for power and fibre-optic cables and accessories.

Windyhill 275kV Switchgear - Civil and Finishing Works

This contract provides the demolition and substation civils works associated with the delivery of the new 275kV Windyhill Substation. Decommissioning, dismantling and removal of the existing 275kV Air Insulated Substation. All site clearance necessary to access the works either from within or from outside of the substation. Removal and legal disposal of redundant foundations, structures and ancillaries necessary to construct the proposed GIS building and associated works. All excavation works necessary for the construction of the Compound Civils and associated works, including the appropriate disposal of materials and filling works. Backfilling of excavations necessary for the construction of the civil works and associated services. The construction of all concrete foundations. Connection of the new surface water drainage system to the existing drainage system and sewer system. Fabrication and erection of the steel stairs and external walkways/access platforms around the building. Construction of new road, pavements and kerbing and the tie-in to existing road pavements. Upgrade of existing substation access roads and areas of hard standing. Maintenance of the existing substation service roads and compound surface.
