Description

This contract provides the demolition and substation civils works associated with the delivery of the new 275kV Windyhill Substation.
Decommissioning, dismantling and removal of the existing 275kV Air Insulated Substation.
All site clearance necessary to access the works either from within or from outside of the substation.
Removal and legal disposal of redundant foundations, structures and ancillaries necessary to construct the proposed GIS building and associated works.
All excavation works necessary for the construction of the Compound Civils and associated works, including the appropriate disposal of materials and filling works. Backfilling of excavations necessary for the construction of the civil works and associated services.
The construction of all concrete foundations.
Connection of the new surface water drainage system to the existing drainage system and sewer system. 
Fabrication and erection of the steel stairs and external walkways/access platforms around the building.
Construction of new road, pavements and kerbing and the tie-in to existing road pavements. Upgrade of existing substation access roads and areas of hard standing. Maintenance of the existing substation service roads and compound surface.

This is clearly identified in the tender documents. - The value stated in this notice is the midpoint of a range between £1,000,000 - £1,500,000 (exclusive of VAT). - The value stated in this notice is for the initial works and may be extended to include additional works (for example, the foul sewer). It is expected that the full contract value is estimated at approximately £3,000,000 (exclusive of VAT). Any additional works are clearly identified in the tender documents.
