Description

The Scottish Government has a requirement to place a contract with an external service provider for the provision of a National Kinship Care Advice Service.
The Scottish Government Children and Families Directorate, on behalf of the Care Experience and Whole Family Wellbeing division, wishes to commission a National Kinship Care Service. The purpose of the Service is to provide relevant support, and up to date advice and information, including peer support, specifically tailored to the needs of kinship carers and children and young people living in kinship care. The new service should also provide a platform for bringing kinship care families together and the sharing of practice between local authorities and other agencies.

CMCV 112 - Overnight Short Breaks for Children and Young People With a Disability

This contract will deliver a planned programme of overnight short breaks for children and young people with disabilities who have an assessed need who are residents in of Shropshire Council. The service will be delivered from the council owned purpose-built premises at Bradbury House, Frith Close, Shrewsbury. SY2 5XW This is a purpose built 7 bedroomed unit with enclosed outdoor space. Overnight short breaks for children and young people with disabilities and their families will be provided through a Hub and Spoke model. Bradbury House being the hub of the model with all other overnight short break options – for example, but not limited to, Family Based (foster) care, Home Based (domiciliary) Care, In-Home overnight sitting service, and Activity based short breaks. The additionality of specialist overnight short break elements (the spokes) will be commissioned using a variety of commissioning approaches. The contract will be for an initial period of 3 years commencing on the 1st April 2026 with the option to extend for a further period of up to 2 (1+1) years. CMCV 113 - The Provision of Specialist Support for Children and Young People who are victims of, or who present with Harmful Sexual Behaviours and their families.

You are invited to tender for the provision of assessment and therapy support for children and young people who are victims of or who present with harmful sexual behaviour and their families. The contract value is a maximum of £57,818 per annum. Mileage for travel within Shropshire to meet with children, young people and their families will be invoiced separately at £0.40 per mile for travel within Shropshire only. The initial term will be for 3 years (36 months) with an option to extend for a further 12 months following review. Therefore the total contract value will be £231,272 The service will provide assessment and direct support for children and young people between the ages of 5 up to their 18th birthday and their families who have experienced or who present with harmful sexual behaviour who live in Shropshire (excluding The Borough of Telford & Wrekin) or for whom Shropshire Council are their Corporate Parent.
