Liverpool City Region – Decarbonisation Project
The Liverpool City Region is embarking on a leading programme with the local authority partners to transition the public estate buildings towards Net Zero. The programme will be delivered over 2 years 2024-26. All works must be completed by 31st March 2026.
This contract is for the decarbonisation of 7 buildings across the Liverpool City Region. These are sites of mixed use (i.e., Town Halls, Leisure, Offices and libraries). The works are to be based on building decarbonisation plans that have been developed for the sites as part of a combined programme and will be the guiding documents for the contract.
The scope of the works include fabric improvements, heating system replacement, controls and electrical system upgrades as detailed in the specification. There are also renewable energy generation systems that form part of this programme. With an additional 36 sites for PV installation as part of the programme.
The contractor is expected to finalise choices for each site, prepare design proposals and deliver the approved measures to obtain carbon and energy savings required to meet the funding requirements. In addition, the contractor will be expected to manage district heating connection interface to historic buildings.
