Description

The maintenance contract will cover both the main UEA campus security systems, as well as the Sainsbury's Centre for Visual Arts (SCVA) security systems. There are a total of 420 cameras on the main campus (both IP and Analogue), and 96 cameras on the SCVA site (both IP and analogue). Maintenance and support of access control systems and intruder alarms on both sites is also included within the scope of the coverage we require.

Supply and Maintenance of Walk through Archways, Hand-held Wands and Hardware Detection Poles

The Ministry of Justice (MoJ) is exploring the capability and capacity of the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) market for the supply of a Metal Detection equipment, including dual sensor ferro and non-ferro magnetic metal detection archways, handheld detectors, and portable detection poles. The MoJ are taking this approach to support the HMPPS estate for the duration of the Agreement and estimated asset life of the equipment. The tender is expected to be published in September 2025. Metal detection capability forms an important part of front-end security in prisons at staff, prisoner, and visitor gates. The Archways are part of a wider capability which looks to prevent contraband from entering prisons through multiple routes. The use of handheld wands and portable detection poles by prison staff provide essential avenues for searching for threats by scanning people, objects, specific areas and bags respectively. Archways, Hand-held Wands and Poles used in conjunction have a major impact on reducing conveyance routes for contraband entering prisons through Staff Gate Entry, Prisoner Visits and Prisoner reception by detecting threats related to SIM cards, mobiles phones and razor blades amongst other metallic threat items. The Authority will aggregate the project into three lots to allow suppliers to bid for one or more lots based on capability in meeting metal and wider threat detection requirements. The Lots will be formulated as the following: - Lot 1- Dual sensor ferro and non-ferro magnetic metal detection archways - Lot 2- Handheld Detectors - Lot 3- Portable Detection Poles Lots and details of technical specifications for equipment are liable to change to this currently being in pre-procurement stage. his opportunity has been listed by LHC Procurement Group on behalf of our regional business: Scottish Procurement Alliance (WPA) This Dynamic Purchasing System (DPS) is designed to facilitate the procurement of repair, maintenance, and associated services across multiple disciplines, ensuring a structured and efficient response to urgent and planned works. This new DPS will be for the provision of repair and maintenance service for the public sector for use by: - Education - Healthcare - Emergency Services - Housing and residential - Public Sector buildings The DPS is divided into fourteen lots, split between four primary workstreams, each containing specific lots tailored to address key areas of building maintenance. Workstream 1 focuses on the building envelope and structural integrity, covering roofing repairs, external works, internal repairs including damp and mould, and the maintenance of windows, doors, and other openings. Workstream 2 addresses mechanical and electrical (M&E) systems, ensuring the operational efficiency of plumbing, heating and cooling, electrical systems, lifts, and detection systems such as CCTV and fire alarms. Workstream 3 provides environmental and infestation management, including property protection, pest control, and drainage solutions to maintain safety and hygiene. Workstream 4 encompasses multi-disciplinary services, allowing for an integrated approach to complex projects covering multiple areas within a single contract. To ensure adaptability, the DPS retains the flexibility to introduce additional lots in response to emerging industry requirements, as permitted under PCR 2015, provided that such modifications do not significantly alter the scope of the procurement. This ensures the DPS remains responsive to market developments, technological advancements, and regional needs, thereby offering contracting authorities a comprehensive and compliant procurement solution for a wide range of building maintenance and operational challenges.
