To secure a supplier for the work in this contract that comprises of supply and install an “A” rated wall mounted gas fired combination boiler complete with fan assisted flue in accordance with the manufacture’s recommendations. The boiler must comply with all Plymouth Community Homes (PCH) requirements in order that any warranty works completed by PCH to be eligible for payment by the boiler manufacturer. The Service Provider shall be responsible for surveying the existing properties to determine the extent of the work.

5391 - Blackwood Comprehensive School – Ventilation Works

You are invited to submit a tender for the installation of ventilation units and boxing in of heating pipes. The scope of the project is fully described in Tender Documentation but in summary the scope is: - The contractor shall cost all necessary resources including weekend and overtime working to allow the project to be completed within the specified contract period. - The contractor shall be responsible for the removal and reinstatement of any loose and fixed furniture to allow the installation of all ventilation services and equipment as shown on the drawings. - Form new openings in the existing structure to allow the installation of the new external weather louvres - Carefully take down and reinstate any false ceilings to allow the installation of the new ventilation systems. Any damaged or stained ceiling tiles shall be replaced with new to match existing. - Install all of the new ventilation equipment and ductwork as shown on the tender drawings including all necessary wiring and controls. - Employ specialist commissioning engineers to set to work all new ventilation systems in accordance with the manufacturer’s requirements and demonstrate the correct operation of all systems to the satisfaction of the contract administrator. - Supply & install ventilation units, ducting and ancillary grilles/louvres, etc - Insulate & box-in exposed heating pipework - Electrical supplies to new equipment - Controls work & commissioning - Associated Builders Work - Provide O&M manuals and provide user training - The timescale for the work is 6 weeks from commencement of the contract. - Contractors shall note that the maximum time the school can be closed for is 6 weeks and if they cannot complete the work detailed in that time then they should not submit a tender proposal. - Works to be completed by 30th August 2025 - Contractors shall submit a detailed programme of works when submitting their costs for the project. The Contractors shall detail all key timings showing as a minimum, site setup, plant delivery, re-instatement works and commissioning and how this will be achieved in the contract period.

5466 - Greenhill Primary School - Boiler Replacement

You are invited to submit a tender for the provision of new boiler plant in the boiler room at Greenhill Primary School. The scope of the project is fully described in the ITT and supporting documentation but in summary the scope is: - The contractor shall cost all necessary resources including weekend and overtime working to allow the project to be completed within the specified contract period - Carefully survey all services in the existing boiler rooms and remove all redundant mechanical and electrical services including any brackets and containment. When removed, the building structure shall be made good. - The contractor shall install and set to work the new boilers and flues and configure existing controls for the new boilers. All new and existing services within the boiler room are to insulated as specified. - The contractor shall employ the boiler manufacturer’s commissioning engineers to commission the new boilers and certify them. The timescale for the work is 4 weeks from commencement of the contract. It is planned to carry out these works during the summer vacation 2025 which commences on the 21st July and ends on the 29th August. Contractors shall submit a detailed programme of works when submitting their costs for the project. The Contractors shall detail all key timings showing as a minimum, site setup, plant delivery, re-instatement works and commissioning and how this will be achieved in the 4-week period given.
