Description

Following a procurement, Hertfordshire County Council has awarded contracts for the Provision of Facilities for the Collection and Treatment of Scrap Metals and Lead Acid Batteries from Recycling Centres in Hertfordshire
      
      This is an award notice and this opportunity is now closed. 
      
      The successful supplier for Lot 1, 2 and 3 is Nationwide Metal Recycling Limited
      
      The estimated total value of the Contract is £3,258,000.00 and is for the core Contract period and also includes the approximate value for extensions.  
      
      The initial term of this contract is three (3) years with a possible extension of up to a further two (2) years at the Councils discretion.

Recycling of Mechanical Sweeping Waste Contract 2024

This contract concerns Mechanical Sweeping Waste arising during both routine and ad hoc mechanical sweeping activities that take place across South Gloucestershire Council's streets, parks footpaths, pedestrianised and similar areas. The composition of Mechanical Sweeping waste varies according to seasonality, annual holidays, local events and similar activities. Mechanical Sweeping Waste collected during autumn months contains increased levels of organic waste. Mechanical Sweeping Waste from high footfall areas such as central urban areas may have increased levels of items such as bottles, cans, other litter items, etc. within it. The Council operates two transfer stations, but anticipates only requiring collection from one of the sites (should the contractor collect the waste).
