The British Council Ghana Operations Unit is looking to procure the services of a local transportation company to support various aspects of their operations across Ghana. The British Council currently has two offices, one in Accra and the other in Kumasi. The successful tenderer(s) will be engaged on a framework agreement. The suppliers will be expected to provide taxicab services on a corporate level as well as car rental services for long trips.

UK SBS on behalf of UKRI wish to establish a framework for the provision of Taxi Services.
The Trust has a requirement for the provision of Taxi Transport Service and a GSM Taxi Free Phone service. The Trust has a separate courier contract in place for the movement of goods between its sites on a fixed timetable. To supplement this the Trust also requires the provision of a 24-hour, 7 days a week, 365/6 days a year taxi service to enable more urgent and flexible movement of Staff, Patients and the movement of goods/ equipment between the Trust Sites. There is an expectation that the successful company must be able to deal with requests for numerous journeys simultaneously when required. There is a requirement for patients to be collected from their home address, these journeys will be booked by Trust. All taxi requests are made through the Trust's Transport Helpdesk and details logged on the Trust's system. Total annual taxi bookings for 2024 were 7429. The Trust also requires a GSM Taxi Free Phone service, which must be installed and operated at no charge to the Trust. The Trust requires one supplier to provide both services. (taxi transport service and a GSM Taxi Free Phone service). From January 2024 to December 2024 the phone line was used 6,847 times.
