Bangor Business School - Construction Consultancy Services

The Business School has set ambitious growth targets, diligently working to expand student and staff numbers, and enhance the school's reputation. With this growth, the demand for space has surged, surpassing the capacity of our current premises in Hen Goleg. A new building will accommodate this growth and Bangor University plans to refurbish and add a new build extension to Friars School, Bangor, with the aim of using this new location for its Business School. This will facilitate the School's progression in providing enhanced student facilities, fostering additional shared spaces to foster stronger staff-student connections, and bolster community engagement with external industry partners. The project is currently at RIBA stage 1 and Bangor University is now looking to appoint professional construction consultancy firms to assist in bringing the project up to a minimum of RIBA stage 3.

National Framework for Professional Services in Construction and Premises 2024

The Education Alliance are establishing a framework of consultants for professional services in construction and premises contracts within the UK excluding Scotland. The framework will cover projects including, but is not limited to, new builds, extensions, refurbishments, housing builds, multi-complex builds, works covering the railway industry, infrastructure projects, etc. The procurement was a single stage process following the Public Contract Regulations 2015 open procedure. The framework agreement will be established for a period of 3 years from April 2024, with the option to extend for a further period of 1 year, at the discretion of the contracting authority and subject to satisfactory performance. The framework will be split in to 23 separate lots, which will operate with a maximum of 1 consultant for lot 1, and for lots 2 to 23, a maximum of 9 consultants per region per lot.
