NECS374 Family Support Service for Children and Young People with a Neurodevelopmental Need NHS Tees Valley CCG and Tees Valley Local Authorities

North of England Commissioning Support (NECS) is a commissioning support service working for and on behalf of NHS Tees Valley Clinical Commissioning Group (the CCG) and Darlington Borough Council, Hartlepool Borough Council, Middlesbrough Council, Redcar and Cleveland Borough Council, Stockton-on-Tees Borough Council (Tees Valley Local Authorities) and is managing this procurement process. The CCG is acting as lead Contracting Authority in this procurement. The CCG and the Tees Valley Local Authorities are commissioning a Family Support Service for Children and Young People with a Neurodevelopmental Need: The contract will be for  2 years initial contract period with a possible 12 months extension period; Optional extension will be at the discretion of the Contracting Authority and subject to satisfactory financial and contractual performance. The procurement will be available to view on the In-Tend e-tendering portal on 11 December 2020. This procurement process will mirror that of the Open procedure as in compliance with the Public Contracts Regulations 2015 in respect of Health Care Services under the Light Touch Regime, Regulations 74 – 76 and the National Health Service (Procurement, Patient Choice and Competition) (No. 2) Regulations 2013. Under the Public Services (Social Value) Act 2012 Contracting Authorities must also consider: (a) how, what is proposed to be procured, might improve the economic, social and environmental well-being of the area where it exercises its functions, and (b) how, in conducting the process of procurement, it might act with a view to securing that improvement. Accordingly, the subject matter of the contract has been scoped to take into account the priorities of the Contracting Authority relating to economic, social and environmental well-being. Additional Information Potential providers are to note that the Transfer of Undertakings (Protection of Employment) Regulations 2006 (as amended) may apply to this procurement including the New Fair Deal non-statutory policy setting out how pensions issues are to be dealt with when staff are compulsorily transferred from the public sector to independent providers delivering public services. NECS is utilising an electronic tendering tool to manage this procurement and communicate with potential providers. Ravenscar Surgery, Alternative Provider Medical Services

North of England Commissioning Support (NECS) is a commissioning support service working for and on behalf of NHS England & NHS Improvement North East and Yorkshire (the Contracting Authority) and NHS Tees Valley Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) (the Commissioner), who has undertaken a procurement to commission Ravenscar Surgery, Alternative Provider Medical Services (APMS) in the Kirkleatham ward of Redcar under the NHS Standard APMS contract published on January 2022. The term of the contract will be 5 years commencing on 01 October 2022, with an option to extend for a further 2 years at the discretion of the Contracting Authority and Commissioner and subject to satisfactory contractual and financial performance.

Intermediate Care Beds for People in Darlington

North of England Commissioning Support (NECS) is working for and on behalf of NHS Tees Valley Clinical Commissioning Group (the Contracting Authority) who wish to commission an Intermediate Care Beds for People in Darlington. Intermediate care, for the purpose of this service, provides short term nursing, assessment, rehabilitation, re-ablement and recovery care and health crisis support, delivered in partnership with local health and social care organisations, to support people to improve or regain independence, health and wellbeing. It provides an alternative to admissions into acute or long term care (step up) and to facilitate the transfer of care from hospital (step down), thus aiming to support people to return to their own homes as soon as possible and reduce the need for people to go back to hospital. There are two elements to the service, referred to as bed-based support for this two-year contract which are, Rehabilitation and Short stay nursing

Enhanced Rapid Response Care Home Service

North of England Commissioning Support (NECS) is working for and on behalf of NHS Tees Valley Clinical Commissioning Group (the Commissioner); who have commissioned an Enhanced Rapid Response Care Home Service to be provided for patients residing within CQC registered care homes across Redcar & Cleveland and Middlesbrough. N.B. Due to currently proposed legislation which may mean that the current responsibilities of CCGs will transfer into Integrated Care Systems with effect from 01 March 2022, the ultimate commissioner for this contract may change.
