GMCA Framework Agreement for Street Lighting Visual and Structural Inspection and Testing Services

The purpose of this tender is to establish a framework agreement for visual and structural inspection and testing services of street lighting columns and traffic sign poles (or other similar structures) to determine their condition which can be accessed by organisational bodies participatory to the framework. The framework agreement will consist of 9 lots based on indicative, strength and other test methods that are specified in the Institution of Lighting Professionals (ILP) Guidance Note 22 ‘Asset Management Toolkit: Minor Structures’. The framework agreement consists of the following Lots: Lot 1: Indicative Test Method - Visual Inspection; Lot 2: Indicative Test Method - Loss of Section monitoring; Lot 3: Indicative Test Method - Ultrasonic Testing (Guided Waves); Lot 4 : Other Indicative Test Methods, Lot 5: Strength Test Method - Static Loading; Lot 6: Strength Test Method – Ultrasonic Testing; Lot 7: Strength Test Method – Loss of Section Monitoring; Lot 8: Strength Test Method – Magnetic Particle Inspection; Lot 9 : Other Strength Test Methods.

The Commissioners have a requirement for the servicing, repair and maintenance of existing lifting and hoisting equipment installed in domestic properties equipment to enable disabled and elderly people to live as comfortably and independently as possible in their own homes The supplier is required to carry out a program of scheduled servicing on a variety of equipment including straight and curved stairlifts, various ceiling track hoists, through floor lifts and step/ platform lifts. The supplier is required to carry out a program of safety inspections as per the LOLER Regulations on all equipment The supplier is required to provide a call-out service to deal with breakdowns and repairs to the Equipment on 24hr and 7 day a week basis

For the installation, maintenance and dismantling of seasonal decorations displays 2024-2026

Oldham Council and Rochdale MBC seek to appoint a specialist contractor to deliver erection, maintenance and removal for the Festive Illuminations displays for districts within the Metropolitan Borough of Oldham and Rochdale in their entirety. The purpose of the project is to deliver a reliable and safe seasonal decorations display for the Boroughs including successful switch-on ceremonies (where required). It is also required that the displays are installed and removed to programme in a careful manner, whilst minimising disruption to traffic and the general public.
