The Common Services Agency (more commonly known as National Services Scotland) (‘the Authority’) acting through its division National Procurement, is undertaking this procurement of Dressings (‘Products’) as outlined further below on behalf of all entities constituted pursuant to the National Health Service (Scotland) Act 1978, (i.e. all NHS Scotland Health Boards, Special Health Boards and the Authority or other NHS Organisation established pursuant to the NHS (Scotland) Act 1978), any integrated Joint Boards established pursuant to the new Public Bodies (Joint Working) Scotland Act 2014 (collectively hereafter referred to as (‘Participating Authorities’). Lot 001 to be awarded as a multi supplier unranked award and Lots 002-108 to be awarded as a multi supplier ranked award, were we envisage awarding Five (5) suppliers per lot.

The Authority is seeking to establish a multi supplier framework agreement for the Supply of Procedure Packs. Procedure packs, in the context of this procurement, is defined as the combination of components/products to support a particular clinical procedure or activity, which are then put into a single sterile package, prior to being placed on the market. These Procedure Packs ensure sterility of its contents and enables an efficient and effective solution for delivering medical or surgical procedures. They will contain single-use items that the clinician may require to perform the procedure or surgery, along with gowns, gloves, drapes, swabs, blades, syringes and polyware. The Framework Agreement is for the following Lot(s): 1 National Standardised Procedure Packs; and 2. Bespoke Procedure Packs. This contract will be let for an initial 2 year term, with optional extensions to not exceed 4 years in total.

The Tender is to establish a Framework Agreement for the supply of Procedure packs used in major surgery and minor surgery within both the acute and community sectors.
