Description
North Northamptonshire is seeking a partner to supply a modern alarm monitoring system it can use in-house. The supply partner will need to work with the Housing team to guide and support the process of migrating to a singular platform and include all relevant training and support in getting to know the system. The service is currently looking to modernise its ageing Alarm systems across its stock of Sheltered housing properties in readiness for the digital switchover. The current Sheltered Housing telecare alarm system is a mixture of hard-wired devices from different providers across the Kettering and Corby area, within Corby there are 38 sites with 563 properties and in Kettering there are 10 sites with 412 properties. This is a total of 975 properties across 48 sites that need a modern provision. These sites are a mixture of grouped living arrangements, and individual properties, with a further 162 dispersed customers with tele-care devices which require a digital solution. There are approximately 1137 tenants across our properties. There are approximately 1286 hubs, including communal hubs. This is broken down as 975 private dwelling speech modules, 131 communal speech modules, 18 lift call systems, and 162 dispersed alarms. As the Council look to upgrade their current analogue alarms the purpose of this contract will be to monitor any new digital equipment as the Council begin to transition to digital alarms.
