This contract concerns Mechanical Sweeping Waste arising during both routine and ad hoc mechanical sweeping activities that take place across South Gloucestershire Council's streets, parks footpaths, pedestrianised and similar areas.\r

The composition of Mechanical Sweeping waste varies according to seasonality, annual holidays, local events and similar activities. Mechanical Sweeping Waste collected during autumn months contains increased levels of organic waste. Mechanical Sweeping Waste from high footfall areas such as central urban areas may have increased levels of items such as bottles, cans, other litter items, etc. within it.\r

The Council operates two transfer stations, but anticipates only requiring collection from one of the sites (should the contractor collect the waste).\r

The procurement process will be undertaken on the basis of formal quotations. Evaluation will be on the basis of criteria and methodology as set out in the Invitation to Tender document. Any clarifications or questions must be submitted via the Message area of the Kent Business Portal by no later than 14.00hrs on 17 September 2025. Completed tender documents must be submitted electronically via the Kent Business Portal by no later than 12.00hrs on 26 September 2025.
