24044 Provision of bus Tickets for Home to School transport Sept 24/25 (Contract 2)

Description

Since 2018, the Passenger transport team (PTT) have been purchasing bus tickets from the Public passenger bus operators like Whippet.  The value is below of Public Contracts Regulations 2015 thresholds and further spend needs a compliant route to continue using this as an option.

The arrangement as agreed by previous senior managers has a logic sense and provided best value for the services the PTT need to delivery.  However, the arrangement was not fully documented or a formal contract/agreement in place to note this arrangement. 

Outcome of the Procurement: 
To procure the provision of bus tickets from the public passenger bus operators to aid the delivery of the Home to school services the Authority is required to provide.

The contract is 12 months covering the school year, with the option to extend a further 3x 12 months.
