Description

This training is made up of 3 separate courses, each consisting of 3-5 modules. These 3 separate courses are as follows: - T443 - Water Resources Planning: Demand & Headroom T444 - Water Resources Planning Options T445 – Water Resources Planning – Supply This contract will cover the provision of activities in the following areas: - Design and delivery of bespoke and innovative training to build knowledge, skills, capabilities and confidence. - Support new ways of working and new tools as they develop. - Advice and support in relation to training development and delivery. Being up to date with current legislation and trends/practices and consideration around new ways of working. This will ensure that EA staff are: - Competent and fully trained to carry out any Water Resources planning tasks. - Prepared, confident and capable in their roles. This contract is geared towards highly skilled training specialists and does not encourage applications from generalist training providers.

First Aid Training Framework

The Council wishes to set up a Framework that will provide First Aid Training related courses. There will be one Lot, where the chosen Provider(s) will provide all courses mentioned below: Paediatric Emergency First Aid at Work (one day course) First Aid at Work (three-day course) Emergency First Aid at Work (one day course) In addition to the training courses listed above, there will be a requirement for the Provider to include specialist content when required, such as but not limited to: Anaphylaxis management Managing catastrophic bleeding, and Choking rescue techniques in Learning Disabilities settings The training is delivered on an 'as required' basis, and Providers should note there may be a need to deliver multiple courses at different venues across the Council on the same day. Training will be provided in Council premises i.e. libraries, schools, care homes etc. however, depending on course or team needs these may change during the course of the Framework Agreement, but will always remain within Council premises. The Framework Agreement shall be for 3 years with an option to be extended for a further period of up to 12 months. A maximum of 3 providers will be appointed to the Framework. This contract is for Independent Mediation Service for Education, Health and Care Assessments and Reviews and Disagreement Resolution Service for Special Education Needs and/or Disabilities (SEND). Durham County Council is looking for a single provider to deliver this service. It is a requirement of the Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) Code of Practice: 0 to 25 years that all local authorities must have in place a mediation information and advice service which is independent of the local authority. This service will offer independent mediation to families and will provide an opportunity to resolve issues linked to requests for an Education, Health and Care Assessment and the outcome of Education, Health and Care (EHC) Plan Assessments / Reviews prior to families lodging an appeal with a Tribunal. The Contract does not include any guarantee of any minimum volume of services, or any minimum expenditure. Permitted changes that may occur: The contract has a potential to be increased due to demand. Any consequences of the White paper that is due to be released in Autumn 2025 that may have impact. The Council reserves the right to amend the procurement exercise in line with PA23, s31.
