Description

This research will provide us with vital intelligence on learners' transition to employment
and enable development of strategies for smoother transitions and effective use of CITB and public funds (ESFA), improving sustainable employment for trainees, and meeting the UK's construction needs.
The data produced will be used by the Industry Analysis and Forecasting team to support the development of several other work-streams that are essential to the organisation and the research programme.
Results from the research will be crucial in helping CITB to improve supply-side data about the industry and will help CITB to work with the industry to address future skills issues early.

This research aims to conduct a comprehensive validation study of the train driver selection process that is used in GB Rail by all rail companies that employ mainline train drivers. This covers passenger operators, freight operators and infrastructure contractors. It will focus on both the standardised and non-standardised elements of train driver selection and be separated into two distinct phases. We consider a phase distinction to be important given the fundamental differences that exist between the two elements of train driver selection and the required outputs for each. Anti-Bullying & Behaviour Toolkit 2025/26

THIS IS A CALL FOR COMPETITION The Department for Education (DfE) has published this Invitation to Tender (ITT) for a Behaviour and Anti-Bullying Best Practice Review and Toolkit. This notice is to announce the launch of procurement to conduct a best practice review and, informed by the findings of this review, create a new resource (‘toolkit’) for mainstream schools in England (ages 5 to 16). This resource will support schools in managing pupil behaviour, reducing preventable exclusions, and tackling and preventing bullying. The work is anticipated to commence in early Spring 2025. The supplier will require substantial research capabilities, as well as the ability to translate academic findings into engaging, actionable advice for schools. As the best practice review and toolkit will cover best practice in mainstream schools, the supplier will need to have detailed knowledge of the English school system.
