Description

The services and works to be undertaken (hereinafter referred to as the Works) comprises the provision of a maintenance framework contract running concurrently with multiple providers for: grass cutting in communal areas, gardens and backcourts; shrub pruning; litter/ leaf collection; sharps removal; weed control; hedge cutting; sweeping & cleaning hard standings/ parking bays; cleaning external bin stores; and wheelie bin collection management; to access and external common areas. Also common close stair & window cleaning (refer property list at schedule 3); one off/ ad-hoc domestic bulk item clearance, uplift/ disposal and clearing void properties. All as indicated within the red boundaries and/ or highlighted in the ‘key to maintenance works’ at Schedule 1, which is the contract area.
Duties include: Reporting in/out at the Employer’s offices at the start and end of each working day; initial clean up and maintenance plan; regular weekly inspection throughout year: report on condition of shrubs, trees, play areas etc, recommendations for maintenance and improvement; quarterly review of contractor performance.

HDC-1463 Recyclables and Waste Collections, Street Cleansing and Grounds Maintenance Services Harborough District Council

Harborough District Council will shortly be tendering for a single supplier to run a service consisting of the recyclable and waste collection services, as well as street cleansing and grounds maintenance services. The intention is to contract a single supplier, however, it will be permissible under the contract, to subcontract elements of the contract to subcontractors, managed by the single main contractor, in line with all Council requirements. It is envisaged that the only element of the service that will be eligible for subcontracting is Grounds maintenance. This opportunity will be run under the Procurement Act 2023 Competitive Flexible procedure, with an invitation to submit an initial tender, followed by rounds of negotiation before an invitation to submit a final tender. The final process will be clearly defined in the tender documentation. Decarbonisation Framework

This Framework is being procured by Places for People Group and Procurement Hub for the benefit of itself and its Members. This Framework is available for use by public sector bodies (and their statutory successors) as defined in the Procurement Act 2023 and additionally listed online at: http://www.procurementhub.co.uk/eligibility-criteria/ The decarbonisation Framework is designed to support the delivery of retrofit and energy efficiency measures across Places for People’s domestic assets as well as Procurement Hub members. This represents an entirely new framework, designed to ensure that PfP has access to a robust supply chain of qualified and experienced service providers. It is necessary to meet statutory obligations under the Future Homes Standard and to support PfP’s carbon reduction commitments. PfP is recipient of grant funding streams, and the framework will establish specialist delivery mechanisms and supply chain to capitalise on further future funding.
