The Science and Technology Facilities Council, (STFC), part of UK Research and Innovation (UKRI), (“the Client”), invites you to submit a tender for the execution of a Contract for the provision of management services for the in-house Gymnasium and Fitness Centre at Daresbury Laboratory. Please refer to the stated eSourcing portal link for the full set of documentation, specification and contract terms.
STFC seeks to work in partnership with a modern and forward-looking provider who has the capability and capacity to meet the client’s needs. Providing professional wellbeing and fitness centre management services.
The Fitness & Wellbeing Centre is located within the Daresbury Laboratory site in Block B. Detailed in the site plan. UKRI provides the gym accommodation at nil cost. UKRI provides the gym equipment at nil cost. The Contractor is to ensure daily checks are carried out on all equipment & records kept for auditing purposes. 1 The fitness centre will be open seven days per week from 05:00 -22:00 hours a day with the exception of site shutdown, which is between Christmas and New Year. The Contractor will provide 40 hours of on site supervision per week.
TUPE is applicable to this contract and is a matter for the incumbent and new supplier to process and complete upon any contract award. The supplier will be required to adhere to applicable Health and Safety and GDPR requirements.

A supplier able to work in partnership with Southern Water to define/refine any new requirements for health surveillance medicals, in line with health risk assessments.
