Description

Community Pharmacists will provide a Minor Ailments Service in line with the requirements of the Local Pharmacy First service specification and the locally agreed Patient Group Directions (PGDs), to patients in Liverpool.
By implementing Patient Group Directions, community pharmacists in Liverpool will be able to treat a wider scope of conditions, thus reducing burden on General Practice and out of hours services. Conditions covered under the PGDs for this service are Bacterial Sore Throat, Conjunctivitis & UTI.
The Provider will receive £15 per Pharmacy First consultation plus drug reimbursement if supplied. Payment will be determined by level of activity with no cap, therefore costs provided are indicative only based on the average activity across all participating pharmacies in the previous financial year and are subject to change depending on activity.

The aim of the IV therapy and Bisphosphonates service is to enable Stockport patients aged 18 years and over who are medically stable to safely receive intravenous therapy in a community health care setting or the patient's own home for selected frail and housebound patients, thereby reducing avoidable hospital admissions and facilitating early hospital discharge. The community IV service is predominantly to avoid hospital admissions (step-up) for patients requiring IV antibiotic once daily treatment (OD) or twice daily (BD) for a short duration (average 3 days, maximum 15 days). The service will also accept a number of referrals for step down patients from hospital. Where clinically appropriate the service will empower patients to self-administer. The key objectives of this service are: 1. To provide high quality care closer to home to meet patient's needs. 2. To avoid hospital admissions. 3. To support early hospital discharge. 4. To provide timely access to assessment, treatment and care which is safe and effective to manage patients requiring IV therapy in the community. 5. Following clinical assessment and where capacity permits to offer IV hydration therapy for the treatment of dehydration. A management plan will be in place to help avoid hospital admission. 6. To support the Stockport sexual health team in Out of Hours and bank holidays with patient who require daily IM injections of Procaine. Integrated Sexual Health Service - Market Engagement

Bracknell Forest Council Public Health team currently commission Integrated Sexual and Reproductive Health (ISH) services on behalf of the three Berkshire East councils (Bracknell Forest Council, Slough Council and Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead). While many sexual and reproductive health indicators for Berkshire East local authorities are performing comparatively well to national outcomes, there are some areas for improvement, including: • Improving the chlamydia detection rate • Reducing new syphilis and gonorrhoea infections • Implementing HIV prevention strategies to: o Reduce new HIV diagnosis o Increase HIV testing o Improve earlier detection of HIV and reduce late HIV diagnosis • Increasing contraceptive offer • Reducing under 25s abortions and repeat abortions • Ensuring a more equitable access to sexual and reproductive services What we are looking for The provision of ISH services for Berkshire East which will include the provision of: • An Integrated Sexual Health Service covering all 3 levels of sexual and reproductive health care (levels 1, 2, and 3). • Online sexual health services offering access to emergency hormonal contraception, STI and HIV testing, with opportunities to include testing provision for under-18s, as well as condom distribution and PrEP management. • Outreach services delivering targeted support for children and young people and underserved population groups. • Comprehensive sexual and reproductive health promotion, including a dedicated website offering detailed information and advice on sexual and reproductive health.
