Description

This section of the Scheme will cover the construction of the highway improvements on A6119 Yew Tree Drive and Lammack Road junction, Blackburn.

And will encompass the following works:

• Footway improvement and re-surfacing including replacement and realigning the kerbs
• Improvements to pedestrian crossing locations
• Carriageway improvement and re-surfacing including replacement and realigning the kerbs
• Installation of ducting in carriageway and footway
• Relocation, resetting and replacement of Street furniture
• Relocation and replacement of Traffic Signage and markings
• Street Lighting improvements
• Decommissioning of existing traffic signals and pedestrian facilities - done by BwD term maintenance contractor
• Traffic signal civils works, to allow BwD term maintenance contractor to install traffic signal equipment, test and commission the signalised junction
• Highway drainage adjustments
• Liaison with stakeholders and the public
• Localised traffic management
• Disposal of any materials removed as part of the works
• Traffic Management for BwD term maintenance contractor to install traffic signal equipment, test and commission the signalised junction

The procurement is divided into four lots - Tenders may be submitted for a maximum of any 2 lots • Lot 1 - Under £250,000 • Lot 2 - £250,000.01 to £750,000 • Lot 3 - £750,000.01 to £5,000,000 • Lot 4 - £5,000,000.01 to £10,000,000
