Description

North of England Commissioning Support (NECS) is a care system support organisation working for and on behalf of NHS England - North West Specialised Commissioning, NHS Lancashire and South Cumbria Integrated Care Board - Lead ICB, NHS Cheshire and Merseyside Integrated Care Board, and NHS Greater Manchester Integrated Care Board (the Relevant Authorities), who are undertaking a competition to commission a Host Organisation - to procure, deliver and manage the North West Adult Critical Care Transfer Service.
This is a Provider Selection Regime (PSR) Contract Notice. The awarding of this contract is subject to the Health Care Services (Provider Selection Regime) Regulations 2023. For the avoidance of doubt, the provisions of the Public Contracts Regulations 2015 do not apply to this award.
The contract term is for a period of 5 years and the annual contract value is £5.66 million.
The Host Organisation contract will be awarded by July 2025 and full mobilisation of the service will be confirmed in line with the awarded Host Organisation's mobilisation plan, this is anticipated to be between July 2025 and 01 April 2026, notwithstanding any supply issues to mobilise the service. The five-year contract will commence from full mobilisation of the service.
The Host Organisation will be required to be provide all the requirements within the annual financial threshold of 5.66 million GDP and the successful Host Organisation should be an NHS Acute Trust who is CQC registered for the provision of General Adult Critical Care Services. Please note after award and before the commencement date the successful provider will be required to occupy and deliver the service from a physical base located within the North West.
NECS is utilising an electronic tendering tool to manage this competition and communicate with potential providers. Accordingly, there will be no hard copy documents issued to potential providers and all communications with NECS, including response submissions, will be conducted via the Atamis portal at: https://health-family.force.com/s/Welcome
