Description
Milton Keynes City Council (the Council) has awarded a contract for Demand Responsive Transport Services procured via further competition under MKCC Local Bus and Shared Taxi & Demand Responsive Services DPS Lot 2 Shared Taxi and Demand responsive service. The contract is for the operation and the software to run a Demand Responsive Transport service within the parameters laid out by the Council. The service will use a mobile app provided by the successful tenderer as well as web and phone options to interface with the same system for customers. Calls will be booked at the time of travel, not in advance. The successful tenderer will supply all vehicles and drivers. This is a minimum subsidy contract with the successful tenderer retaining fare box income and taking the revenue risk. Service users will be directed to a commercial bus route where viable. The contract is for period of 2 years from 01 Apr 2025-31 Mar 2027 with an option for the Council to extend for 1 year till 31 Mar 2028.
