Description

Bernicia are looking for a provider to both source a fleet of new commercial vehicles as well as provide additional fleet services including but not limited to servicing, repairs, and maintenance.  Predominantly this contract will cover Bernicia’s Property Maintenance Team but may also include other arms such as Estate Services, Care and Repair and Kingston Property Services.  Bidders will be required to provide all the services outlined within this tender document fully and whilst our intention is to award to one bidder, Bernicia do however reserve the right to award to more than one bidder as per the details outlined within this document.  This opportunity is being offered with a minimum term of 3 years with the option to extend up to a maximum of 6 years to be reviewed annually after the minimum period.

Fleet Servicing, Maintenance and Repair

The Council’s current maintenance contract is due to expire on 31 July 2025 and as such there is a need for an experienced and competent Contractor/s to maintain, repair, and modify (where necessary) all vehicles and plant. The Council operates a fleet of approximately 230 vehicles which consist of plant equipment including ride mowers, telehandlers and tractors and road going vehicles from small cars, small vans, large vans and HGV including 32Ton refuse collection vehicles operated in conjunction with the Councils Operators Licence. Vehicles and associated supplies & services

Flagship Group is setting up a DPS for vehicles and associated supplies and services. Mini competitions will be issued throughout the life of the DPS. All the bidders registered on the DPS who have passed the Selection Stage will be invited to participate in the mini-competitions. Access to the Selection Stage will be open throughout the life of the DPS. The DPS may be used for any of Flagship Group's subsidiary companies.
