Description

The NHS App was announced by the Secretary of State for Health at Expo 2017. It was launched in January 2019 and provides a simple and secure way for people to access a range of NHS services on their mobile device or computer. The NHS App is currently available for download in both the Apple and Google Play stores and is also available to access from a browser via a desktop or laptop computer.
The NHS's Long-Term Plan objectives state that the NHS App will create a standard online way for people to access the NHS and that the app will work seamlessly with other services at national and local levels and, where appropriate, be integrated into patient pathways.
The NHS App seeks to empower patients by giving them access to core NHS transaction services and visibility of their records.

The initial term for the Call-Off Contract value is 48 months , Initial Value of £52.4M with an option to extend for a further 12 months

Update: Initial value of the call-off contract uplifted by £26.2m ex-vat to support NHS App programme - project requirements to support to continue to run the Live Service and to adhere to the Mobile First agenda across the NHS.

Remote Monitoring and Management Services

The Council is seeking to purchase on behalf of ICT solutions a Remote Monitoring and Management Services for Schools, which will include real-time monitoring of a minimum of 6500 endpoints and support. If additional endpoints are added, ICT solutions will require that the RMM is extended to those additional endpoints. Norfolk County Council runs ICT Solutions which supports schools with their ICT requirements, and assists several Schools, academies, Multi-Academy Trusts and other educational establishments with their ICT where requested. ICT Solutions is a traded service operated by Norfolk County Council working within its Digital Services department. Please note Norfolk County Council has joined the government's Devolution Priority Programme. This process has the potential to lead to the establishment of a county combined authority for Norfolk and Suffolk, with strategic powers, headed by an elected mayor. A consultation is under way. Government has also invited participation by Norfolk in Local Government Review. This process has the potential to lead to unitary local government in Norfolk. One of these changes could happen without the other. The contract may be assigned or novated to any successor authority(ies) to Norfolk County Council or to any joint body incorporating or formed by any such successor. The County Council or a successor authority or joint body may order services on behalf of other local authorities serving any area within Norfolk's current geographical boundaries.
