Description

Derbyshire County Council and Derby City Council (“the Councils”) are seeking to appoint a contractor to provide services and works in respect of the Derby and Derbyshire Waste Treatment Centre at Sinfin Lane, Derby, DE24 9GF (“DDWTC”).
The DDWTC is a treatment facility for the disposal of residual municipal waste collected by the Councils.
The successful contractor will be required to: preserve the DDWTC whilst undertaking due diligence services; rectify, commission and optimise the DDWTC; and then continue to operate and maintain the DDWTC to provide waste management services from the facility.
The opportunity comprises of two contracts; (i) a Preservation and Due Diligence Contract (“PDD Contract”); and (ii) a DDWTC Contract, which will cover the phases of the works and services summarised below and in the draft ITPD document, Background Document; Commercial Principles Table and the Finance Principles Paper available at www.eastmidstenders.org

Northamptonshire Partnership Homes (NPH) wishes to invite interested parties to bid for Portable Appliance Testing. The anticipated contract start date is 17th December 2025. The contract term will be for an initial period of 2 years with the option for extending for up to a further 2 year extension. NPH requires the services of a suitably qualified and competent contractor to undertake Portable Appliance Testing of all relevant electrical equipment. Hertfordshire County Council is currently out to procurement for the Provision of Treatment of Street Sweeping Arisings 2026 – 2030. The Council will procure this contract using the Open Procedure as defined in the Procurement Act 2023 The Waste Disposal Authority (WDA), Hertfordshire County Council, is responsible for arranging the disposal of all waste collected by Hertfordshire Waste Collection Authorities (WCAs), under their duties and powers defined in the Environmental Protection Act 1990, along with waste collected at Household Waste Recycling Centres (HWRCs). This responsibility includes the disposal of Street Sweeping Arisings (Approved Waste), and Hertfordshire County Council is seeking an alternative treatment process that enables diversion of Approved Waste away from the residual waste stream for the ten (10) WCAs’ separately collected material. To identify the best value solution for the Treatment of Street Sweeping Arisings the Service has been divided into Ten (10) Lots, one for each Waste Collection Authority (WCA). The county has been split into three lots by geographical area.
