Description

The contract is for the Collection, Transportation and Disposal of Clinical Waste from Patients Homes within the Hywel Dda University Health Board area.  Also provided are Sharp Boxes and Bags.
Details of all the premises currently being serviced that will continue to require the service under this agreement will be provided on commencement of the contract.
The Contractor shall collect; transport and dispose of clinical waste from any patients’ home within the Hywel Dda University Health Board region and adhere to any changes that have been approved.
An AM or PM collection window will need to be allocated to each patient and will be communicated to patients by the Contractor prior to the first collection taking place.

At the end of the initial contract term the Commissioner will have extension options of up to 4 years in total, made of 2 x 24 month periods, which will be awarded at the Commissioner's discretion, giving a maximum possible contract value of £3,474,000 inclusive of VAT over 9 years if the full contract term is fulfilled. The Commissioner is of the view that TUPE does not apply to this service The new contract will commence on the 1st of October 2026 with mobilisation planned from April 2026
