Description

A contract has been awarded for the decarbonisation of  the District Council's Northwood Depot, Harrison Way, Matlock, DE4 2LF, including:

-	Decommissioning and removal of existing gas boiler
-	Supply and installation of Air Source Heat Pump (ASHP)
-	ASHP siting and protection (plinth and reflective bollards)
-	Alterations of and connection to existing space heating 
-	Flushing and dosing
-	New heating controls
-	Thermal insulation to all pipework and valves, including weatherproofing to external pipework
-	All BWIC
-	Supply and installation of new hot water cylinder and alteration of connections
-	Install new mineral wool fire retardant insulation above mezzanine ceiling
-	Removal of existing and installation of new LED suspended light fittings and associated fittings and controls and all associated works
-	Installation of PV system
-	Builders Works associated with services installations

The project is part of the Public Sector Decarbonisation Scheme   (PSDS) Project 3C to achieve heat decarbonisation and improve energy efficiency of public sector buildings. 

The award is following a further competition process using the  Added Value Portal t/a PAGABO (acting on behalf of Cumbria, Northumberland, Tyne and Wear NHS Foundation Trust) National Framework for Mechanical and Electrical Solutions, AVP-CNTW-001 Lot 3A Mechanical & Electrical Combined Projects of £50k to £500k in the East Midlands Region.
