Description

Procure Plus are a value focused, not for profit company that specialises in the procurement of goods and services related to both the new build, repair, and maintenance of social housing.
Procure Plus wishes to procure and enter into a framework agreement for the completion of planned installation and repair works in the North East, Yorkshire and Humberside. The works will
predominantly be undertaken in social housing properties but may also be carried out in other public buildings. The framework agreement operates in such a way as to separate the completion of the works covered by the framework, from the procurement of the materials required, as described within the procurement documents.
Contractors appointed to the framework agreement will be required to interact with and source certain materials from the suppliers who are appointed to other Procure Plus framework agreements (which are each subject to a separate procurement and contract notice).
Contractors appointed to the framework agreement will also be expected to share Procure Plus's commitment to social value, and specifically the creation of training and employment opportunities
for individuals who are furthest from the labour market, groups that are underrepresented within the construction industry or individuals that may otherwise be overlooked or marginalised within the labour market.

MusicAbility Centre Phase 2

MusicAbility Foundation was gifted a Grade 2 listed building in the centre of Penzance to create a music centre for health and well-being. On being gifted the building in June 2021 we created a dedicated music therapy room - the only fully equipped music therapy space west of Bristol. We are now working towards renovating and extending the rest of the building to become a unique socially focused music centre, offering expanded music therapy services and spaces for music teaching, rehearsal and events. The purchase of this system is grant funded and must therefore comply with the conditions of said Heritage At Risk funding. We will assess tenders received on a Most Economically Advantageous Tender plus other suitability factors, particularly availability during the construction period as the timescales are limited. We plan to bring the building into increased and celebrated public use as a music centre for health, education, participation and performance. The project's overall aims are to regenerate this once grand public building and return it to full use for the benefit the people of Penzance and West Cornwall. MusicAbility Foundation have obtained a Town Deal Enterprise Grant to complete Phase One of the project, to create a second music therapy room downstairs along with level access and accessible toilets on the ground floor. This work will take place between August and December 2025 and is already contracted separately. The phase of work open for tender through this works package will enable the restoration of the existing building fabric to meet the requirements of Building Control. This application is to support Phase Two of the project which will see the existing building reconfigured and renovated to improve accessibility and layout to meet the requirements identified through extensive consultation with the community and potential delivery organisations. The refurbishment of the existing buildings includes:  Demolitions of modern extension and alterations  Existing Fabric works: External Wall Repointing or Rendering (tbc), Basement waterproofing and associated works, Balcony remedial works and Timber Treatment  Window and Rooflight Works: Existing window refurbishments including sash refurbishment, secondary glazing and security bars and new rooflight AOV for fire regs.  Upgraded existing heritage doors including fire doors requirements and additional doors and screen.  Works to existing heritage staircase to comply with Building Control  Additional and replaced plasterboard linings and sound/fire insulation upgrade to floors.  Various mechanical, electrical and plumbing works: Refurbished small power electrics, new electric heaters, new MVHR system, Fire Alarm System.  Restoring Internal Decorations, finishes and features. Please see attached ITT for how to apply.
