Description

The Mayor of West Yorkshire carried out a public consultation exercise between 10 October 2023 and 07 January 2024 for people to have their say on how buses should be run in West Yorkshire. This gave two options;
•	To proceed with the proposed Franchising Scheme
•	To enter into an Enhanced Partnership + agreement between the West Yorkshire Combined Authority and the bus operators within West Yorkshire

The Mayor's decision on 14 March 2024 was to proceed with the proposed Franchising Scheme.

Following this, the West Yorkshire Combined Authority need to provide the bus depots capable of delivering the Franchising scheme, across the 10 proposed areas, or lots, of West Yorkshire.

One of the ways the depots could be provided is by acquiring the current depots. There are currently a number of depots that the West Yorkshire Combined Authority would consider suitable for delivering the Franchising scheme. In order to determine the suitability of these depots, and the value, the West Yorkshire Combined Authority are looking to commission condition surveys of each of these depots, and the land that the depots are situated on.

Party Wall Surveying Services 2025 - 2029

As part of their commitment to maintain their housing stock, Gentoo Group currently has a roofing Framework in place in which a Principal Provider is responsible for re-roofing Gentoo properties in various locations throughout Sunderland, Houghton, Hetton and Washington - Tyne & Wear. Many of the Gentoo properties which are receiving new roofs adjoin owner occupied properties which do not fall under the ownership of Gentoo. Therefore, so that Gentoo may comply with the Party Wall Act of 1996, it is a requirement that any affected adjoining properties are made aware of the works in accordance with set timescales and given the opportunity to consent to the works or alternatively, to dissent and appoint an independent Party Wall Surveyor to inspect the works in accordance with this Act. Under the Act, the responsibility for appointment of the Surveyor rests with the Party who wishes to have the work carried out (I.E. - Gentoo Group Ltd). Subsequently, the purpose of this Tender is to procure a Surveying Consultancy to provide these services to Gentoo. It will be the intention of Gentoo to appoint three Providers to this Framework for a period of four years. The first ranked Tenderer will initially be awarded all works available. In the event they fail or are unable to meet the service level agreements stated within this document, Gentoo will seek to appoint the second ranked Tenderer to deliver the works. This process will then move to the third placed Tenderer in the event second place is also unable to deliver or meet the requirements of the service level agreements.
