Wiltshire Council: Self-Directed Support Service We invite providers to join us in this transformative journey to enhance the lives of those we serve. Your vision and creativity will be instrumental in shaping a service that truly empowers individuals and strengthens our communities. If you are a provider with the vision and creativity to support this initiative, we encourage you to attend the market engagement event to express your interest and learn more about how you can contribute to the Self-Directed Support service. Wiltshire Council is seeking a provider with vision and creativity to transform our offer to people who wish to purchase or direct their own care and support services. Our goal is to maximise people's involvement and control over how their needs are met. The Self-Directed Support service will collaborate with people, their communities, and system partners to create effective community-based solutions. This service is central to enabling Wiltshire Council to meet the increasing demand on health and social care services. Self-Directed Support offers a more personalised, asset, and strength-based approach to people. This approach provides more opportunities for individuals to improve their quality of life. Additionally, it shifts the focus from commissioned services to community support, fostering mutual aid within communities. The business plan's key priorities include empowering people by enhancing their control and involvement in care decisions, building a resilient society through stronger, more supportive communities, supporting a thriving economy with innovative care solutions, and promoting a sustainable environment through community-based practices. We invite providers to join us in this transformative journey to enhance the lives of those we serve.
