The Wallace Collection (TWC) is seeking to appoint a Building Services Engineer and Sustainability Consultant for a significant re-development project as part of TWC's Masterplan. The completion of a full RIBA Stage 4 design is required, along with RIBA Stage 5/6/7 services. Tenderers must demonstrate sufficient capability to support the procurement and delivery of the project at the Wallace Collection in Westminster, London.The Building Services Engineer's scope includes the design of mechanical, electrical, and public health services, and coordinating below-ground drainage with the Structural/Civil Engineer. It also involves integrating electrical and data cabling specified by specialist consultants (e.g., IT/AV, security, fire, and catering) and addressing catering-related electrical, ventilation, and drainage needs. Additionally, the scope covers vertical transport systems and ambient/emergency lighting, ensuring alignment with architectural and exhibition lighting designers' requirements.The Sustainability Consultant will lead the development and implementation of the project's sustainability framework, ensuring alignment with the Client's objectives and compliance with relevant legislation and standards. The scope includes acting as the BREEAM Accredited Professional and Assessor, guiding the integration of sustainability measures into the design and construction phases, and coordinating with stakeholders, including the BRE and planning authorities.

Specialist Tower Refurbishment focusing on Cladding and Building Construction, Services to include: Clerks of Works, Project Manager, Quantity Surveyor, Employers Agent & Contract Administrator and other specialist services

Oxford City Council are currently in contract with the company Fortem Ltd to deliver a JCT Design and Build contract to refurbish five tower blocks in Oxford and secure full sign off from Building Control. In the process of delivering this work the contractor encountered issues in relation to cladding and building construction. These issues need to be addressed through a rectification process. Therefore, a large part of these services will be directed towards managing the contractor as they design, plan for and then deliver the rectification of these issues; as well as also ensuring that the work is completed to a high standard so that sign off from Building Control can be achieved. As such Oxford City Council have the requirement for the following services: Contract Administrator, Project Management, Clerk of Works, Quantity Surveyor. As well of this Oxford City Council require Specialist Technical Services as required (Demonstrable accredited supply chain that can provide structural engineering, fire safety, building and surveying services on an ad hoc basis as required).
