Description

Central to the prevention of work-related ill-health (WRIH) is the availability of high-quality data which
can help inform policy and guidance. Medically diagnosed case reports of WRIH collected from across
the UK by The Health and Occupational Research (THOR) network are the HSE's preferred source of
data for a number of medical conditions including respiratory diseases such as occupational asthma
and skin diseases such as contact dermatitis. This document outlines the proposal to extend data
collection for one year (until end of 2024) for the THOR network (SWORD and EPIDERM) and reporting
of results.
