Description

This procurement has resulted in the award of a contract for frozen meals delivery to all Category 2.5 Sheltered Housing Schemes. The frozen meals allow the schemes to offer residents a wide range of meals to suit a variety of dietary requirements, including but not limited to vegetarian, reduced sugar and gluten free, ethical meals that include Halal, Kosher, Indian and Chinese. The meals are ordered by each scheme directly and they can then be reheated as and when they need to be served.

In total there are seven schemes that use the meal provision which serves over 350 service users. The average price per meal, including pudding, currently is approximately £3 per head.

The council has used the new ESPO framework (Ready Meals 58_23) for the award of a new contract. The service is awarding a contract for 3 years with the option to extended for a further 2 years.

BACKGROUND 1.1 Thorne-Moorends Town Council wishes to draw your attention to an exciting opportunity to run a café situated within Thorne Memorial Park, Doncaster. 1.2 Thorne Memorial Park and its adjoining walled gardens are a site of about six acres which lay at the heart of Thorne in Doncaster. 1.3 The park and gardens are of local historic interest; surrounding a pond with lots of beautiful scenery and wildlife, featuring a play park, playing field, miniature steam railway, a Grade II listed Crimean War memorial pump, cenotaph and a bandstand, which is the scene of brass band concerts in the summer. 1.4 The Park hosts several events throughout the year including a Remembrance Sunday Service and Summer Festival. 1.5 The park has recently received an upgraded playpark bringing more footfall to the area, further investments are planned for the Memorial Park over the coming months and years. 2. TENDER EVALUATION AND AWARD CRITERIA 2.1 Each Tender will be checked initially for compliance with all requirements of the ITT. 2.2 Tenders will be evaluated against the award criteria set out below. Scoring criteria 0 - Major non-compliance with requirements. Evidence is unacceptable or non-existent. There is a failure to properly address issues or meet any of the requirements or no Information provided. 1 - Does not meet requirements. Fresh Food DPS Contract Award Notices December 2024 - February 2025

Due to a technical issue the dates above do not represent the actual DPS Contract Dates. 2022/S 000-020877 NHS Supply Chain: Food seeks to establish a non-exclusive DPS Agreement for the supply of Fresh Food to NHS Supply Chain: Food's customer base via the Direct Route covering products including but not limited to: fruit, vegetables, prepared potatoes, salads, milk, dairy products, eggs, bread, morning goods, fresh meat, fresh poultry, fresh fish and meat alternatives. The DPS will be in place for a minimum of 7 years with an approximate spend of £200m and will be the main procurement route for NHS Trusts Fresh Food requirements. The DPS is open for applications until 28th February 2029 as a minimum. The DPS is divided into 4 categories of products and Applicants may apply to be included on any or all of the product categories. The 4 categories under the DPS are as follows: Category 1 - Dairy & Bakery Category 2 - Fresh Meat, Poultry & Fish Category 3 - Fruit, Vegetables & Salads Category 4 - Meat Alternatives Applicants will only be accepted to categories they have applied for if they pass all mandatory criteria within the DPS award process. This notice is for the award of Contracts under the DPS between December 2024 - February 2025.
