Distribution of Advanced Wound Care

NHS Shared Business Services Limited (NHS SBS) act in an Agency capacity for and on behalf of its customers (Approved Organisations) - existing and new. These comprise of NHS and Social Care organisations (whether acting individually, or on behalf of, or together as members of any consortia) along with any other public or private sector bodies which NHS SBS authorises to use the resulting Framework Agreement. As an Accredited Framework Provider under the NHS England Accredited Scheme, NHS SBS intends publish a joint procurement with NHS Supply Chain Ltd (NHSSC) to put in place a Framework Agreement for the Distribution of Advanced Wound Care Products that aligns with the Accreditation Programme standards which will be used by NHS SBS Approved Organisations. NHS Supply Chain and NHS Shared Business Services intend to work in collaboration with suppliers and distributors to provide the most optimal solution for wound care provision across the NHS by aligning resources and capabilities. This is a renewal of part of an existing NHS SBS agreement - Advanced Wound Care and Lymphoedema Products and Services, however, the proposal is to develop a collaborative framework where NHS SBS and NHS Supply Chain jointly procure a distributions service enabling the goods available through the NHS Supply Chain framework to be delivered within the community and wider non acute environments. Further details can be found in the specification attached to this notice. Our Approved Organisation list can be found on: https://www.sbs.nhs.uk/services/framework-agreements-categories/ We are committed to working with suppliers who are dedicated to Sustainability and Social Value and there will be a significant weighting on these elements in the tender. The procurement is subject to Cabinet Office Controls and therefore any elements of the proposed the procurement strategy may change, following Cabinet Office Controls assurance.
