Description

Since 2019, GMACS (the Greater Manchester Apprenticeship and Careers Service) has been helping young people in Greater Manchester access information about their future careers, skills and work. As a key Mayoral manifesto commitment, GMCA is now looking to safeguard the future of GMACS by re-procuring the Careers Platform.

GMACS comprises both a front-end website, accessible to all for free, and a careers platform back end, which is available to schools at no cost but requires students have a login. This procurement exercise is for the careers platform back end, currently provided by CASCAID (Xello). This service is currently in use by around 120 schools across GM, and therefore GMCA is looking to provide continuation of that service as well as providing contractual security to continue expanding the service to as many young people in GM as possible.

The GMACS Careers Platform is an important part of the Mayor and GMCA's digital offer to young people. This includes Curriculum For Life, Our Pass, and the Mayor's ambition around a Greater Manchester Baccalaureate (MBacc) and a technical education city region. The expectation of the proposal submitted would need to be aware of, and responsive to, GMCA's ongoing needs in this area, as well as the wider context in which GMCA are continuing to develop services for residents, as set out in the Greater Manchester Strategy.

Learning and Training Services DPS

CCS set up a Dynamic Purchasing System (DPS) for an initial period of 48 months with the extension option of 24 months. A further extension has been agreed and will be utilised and the end date of this DPS will now be 27/10/2028. The contract value of the RM6219 Learning and Training Services DPS has been uplifted by 50% (from £300m to £450m). Aims and Objectives To secure the services of a highly professional and service orientated training supplier to deliver high quality learning experiences for participants in the KTP programme. The KTP Programme seeks to demonstrate the delivery of value for money for all our funding partners. The current training contract expires at the end of March 2025. The KTP programme seeks to have a training provider in place to provide a seamless transition between contracts. KTP is one of the UK's largest recruiters of graduates, with over 350 associate positions available each year. As part of the development of the Associate, KTP provides management training to facilitate the transition of individuals from graduates/ academics to business managers and entrepreneurs. Associate training must demonstrate the best that the business world has to offer. The key objective of the provision of the training package for KTP Associates is to facilitate the development of an appropriate level of management and leadership skills to help Associates deliver successful KTP projects. The KTP programme is broadly based and therefore encompasses a wide range of businesses and organisations, a wide variety of project needs and a wide spectrum of Associate backgrounds, in terms of academic disciplines and experience. Content of the training provision needs to accommodate the needs of a broad base of KTP projects and Associates. The core training package must cover at least the following: A. Business Management Skills development B. Leadership and Innovation skills C. Centre Management and Business/Innovation/Training Support Services Provider - Mid Suffolk Skills and Innovation Centre

Mid Suffolk District Council wishes to appoint an organisation highly experienced in providing Centre Management and Business/Innovation Support to SME’s. The Centre will also have a collaboration of academic institutions directly delivering training and short courses (including CPD) from the training and meeting spaces on the ground floor. This will require support from the Centre Management team in terms of booking spaces and facilities management. Events and business meetings will also take place at the Centre via external hirings in addition to the Centre’s tenant uses, requiring marketing, co-ordination and management.The contract term will be 3 (three) years from 1st April 2026 (subject to the final building opening date) with the option to extend by up to a further 24 months.
