Description

Conservation of eight major pieces of artwork of national significance.

*	All require examination, but required work could include:
•	Onsite visit to inspect artwork (Essential prior to quotes being submitted)


•	Surface cleaning to remove ingrained dirt.
•	Removal of patchy varnish and poor-quality retouching
•	Removal of heavy, glossy varnish.
•	Make good old repair works.
•	Removal of leaching and treatment in those areas, followed by retouching previous damage as necessary.  
•	May require varnishing with a non-yellowing varnish for future protection.  
•	Each frame will require cleaning.
•	Some frames will require replacement of lost plaster work.
•	Canvas retention.


Important note: We will only be accepting proposals from providers who are registered with "Icon" - Conservation Register

Once this is complete, quotes can be emailed along with a covering letter detailing previous experience on this nature of work and any qualifications and relevant accreditations.
