Description

Research into the feasibility of estimating road users' willingness to pay for safety features on the strategic road network
National Highways is commissioning a scoping study to investigate the feasibility of survey research to estimate road users' willingness to pay for measures that make them feel safer on the SRN. The study should investigate potential methodologies and alternative survey design approaches. It is envisaged that this may include focus groups and/or pilot survey work to test respondents' understanding of relevant concepts and their ability to offer responses that provide insights in sufficient detail to inform monetary estimates of the value of feeling safer.
