Description

DLUHC is forming a partnership with a supplier for the delivery of strategic consultancy advice related to environmental sustainability and also socio-economic Development, the latter having connections with the majority of the department's areas of responsibility e.g. 'Levelling Up'. The supplier will build a relationship with DLUHC throughout the Contract term in order to understand the Department's values and objectives which, in turn, which enable the supplier to delivery policy specific advice.

The Supplier is appointed on a standby basis. Due to the unforeseen nature of some of our requirements, the precise number of commissions that may be required cannot be stated and DLUHC does not provide any guarantee of work under this contract.

The initial work will be to commission an environmental assessment of NDMPs as they are prepared. This must be in a way which is legally compliant with the existing Strategic Environmental Assessment (SEA) and Habitat Regulations Assessment (HRA) requirements.

The workshops will create valuable networking opportunities, enabling participants to connect with peers and build professional relationships and networks along with 1 to 1 mentoring that will enable SMEs to strategically analyse their operations and determine how they can make the necessary improvements to increase their ability to access large company supply chains. This contract is a new requirement that has not been tendered previously and is to commence on the 1st March 2026.
