Description

The roofs and high-level masonry are partly in poor condition and urgent works are required to prevent major leaks and the loss of historic fabric. Surveyors were appointed in July 2023 to complete a condition survey and feasibility study into the proposed works. 
      
      The purpose of this tender exercise is to set up a roofing framework to undertake the required works. The framework will consist of an initial Stage 1 EOI Pre-Qualification Questionnaire (PQQ) assessment to test the experience of all Suppliers that apply and create a shortlist of suitably qualified Suppliers to invite to Stage 2 - Invitation to Tender. 
      
      It is anticipated that from the PQQ assessment, the top 4-6 scoring Suppliers will be invited to tender for a Framework of 4 approved Suppliers.

Additional information: The contracting authority considers that this contract may be suitable for economic operators that are small or medium enterprises (SMEs). However, any selection of tenderers will be based solely on the criteria set out for the procurement.

External & Communal Pre Construction Services and Works to Houses Framework Rev01 Multiple Supplier Framework (of up to three contractors per Lot) to undertake various services and works related to improvement and planned maintenance works, by means of Pre-construction Services Call-offs and Works Call-offs. The actual value per contractor will be expected to be a much smaller proportion following distribution of work amongst an anticipated 3no framework contractors per lot. Work and budgets per contractor will also be affected by work carried out by direct in-house resources, contingency allowances, non-access to properties, efficiency savings, and subject to regular reviews and re-allocations of priorities by the Council.
