Description

The year-round provision of scheduled and ad hoc Grounds Maintenance Services in respect of Hard and Soft Landscapes at multiple sites across a property portfolio in the City of Glasgow. This provision shall contribute to maintaining and enhancing the proper functionality and aesthetic appearance of the property portfolio. The scope of the requirement includes grassed areas, hedges, shrub beds, hard landscape areas, and trees.
The service requirement also includes the provision of effective Gritting & Snow-Clearing Services at multiple sites across the property portfolio. This provision shall enable pedestrians and vehicles to safely access and move around each site.

Property Repairs and Maintenance

In Spring 2024, Moat Homes Ltd published a Prior Information Notice which invited interested suppliers to a preliminary market engagement event aimed at gaining insights around the current state of the repairs and maintenance market, as well as gathering information to inform the future delivery of the service. We are now seeking a Service Provider to deliver responsive repairs, works, including reactive day-to-day repairs to all of Moat's owned, leased and managed residential buildings and associated estate areas, including to the fabric and structure of blocks, communal areas and associated services. The Service Provider will also be required to undertake all necessary works to Moat's empty homes to ensure these are available to re-let to customers, and to provide an out of hours services (including triage communication services and arranging temporary moves). Further details of the required works and services are set out in the Descriptive Document and the associated tender documents published with this Tender Notice. In addition to the initial works and services noted above, subject to satisfactory performance against Key Performance Indicators, Moat may (at its sole discretion) require the appointed Service Provider to deliver additional works and services, including, but not limited to, planned works, cyclical redecoration, building safety repairs and maintenance, and other works/services such as gates and barriers, cesspit emptying and access control problems. Further details of these potential works and services are included in the Descriptive Document. The aim of this procurement process is to appoint a single provider to deliver the services detailed in the procurement documents. The form of contract will be the TAC-1 Term Alliancing Contract (with bespoke amendments) (the "Contract"). This is an order-based contract which is designed to promote effective partnership and joint working in line with Moat's wider objectives. The Contract will be for an initial term of ten (10) years with the option to extend the term for additional periods of up to five (5) years at Moat's sole discretion, giving a maximum possible term of fifteen (15) years. Additionally, the successful Service Provider will be required to enter into a Strategic Alliance Agreement based upon the FAC-1 form of contract. This contract is designed to enable key service providers / contractors which Moat works with to share relevant information and knowledge and undertake specified alliancing activities for the overall benefit of their respective workstreams and Moat's obligations as a registered provider. The successful Supplier will be required to provide Grounds Maintenance Services for Marlow Education Trust at the following Schools: - Sir William Borlase’s Grammar School, West Street, Marlow SL7 2BR - Beechview Academy, Guinions Road, High Wycombe, HP13 7NT - Great Marlow School Bobmore Lane, Marlow, SL7 1JE Sir William Borlase’s Grammar School: This school marked its 400th-anniversary last year and is a prestigious secondary grammar school with a long-standing legacy dating back to 1624. The school proudly occupies its original structures but has grown significantly over the years with the addition of supplementary buildings. The most recent addition to the school's impressive facilities is a state-of-the-art sports hall completed in 2021. Additionally, the main dining area and kitchens have been refurbished, and a new dining area has been constructed specifically for sixth-form students. With excellent facilities, the school offers high-quality teaching and learning across the curriculum, with a strong focus on extracurricular programs such as sports, dance, drama, and musical theatre. The school is mixed gender with approximately 1100 students aged between 11 to 18. (Year 7 to sixth-form). Beechview Academy: Beechview is a small Junior school located in east High Wycombe primarily focusing on Key Stage 2 (Year 3 to Year 6). Since joining the Trust in 2016, it has had significant investment in transforming the facilities of the school. The school has approximately 172 pupils. Great Marlow School: Is a large secondary school in Marlow that continues to grow and is in a position to be an oversubscribed school of choice. Since 2023, and with the support of local authority funding, there has been an extensive building program. This includes new performing arts facilities, and a stunning two-storey block adjacent to the hall, which contains seven new classrooms and a revamped school entrance. At the same time, the size of the dining facilities has been doubled. The school is mixed-gender, with approximately 1,450 students aged 11 to 18, of which 250 are sixth-formers.
