Description

This proposal for Sports, Fitness and Play Equipment is a retender of the previous CPC Sports, Fitness and Gym Equipment framework. This iteration has an extended offering including playground and outdoor gym equipment amongst sports equipment and gym equipment.

Any resulting framework from this exercise will be available to all further education institutions, universities, sixth forms, academies, schools, museums and other similar organisations who are CPC members https://www.thecpc.ac.uk/members/regions.php and all future members https://www.gov.uk/guidance/get-information-about-schools. Local Authorities may also wish to use the resulting framework when procuring on behalf of Educational Establishments. Derby City Council (the Council) is undertaking this procurement to establish a measured term contract for hard landscape maintenance and minor works on parks and play areas. Park Gardens Play Equipment

The aims of this project are to: • replace and upgrade the existing play structures as pictured: • meet the requirements of the Disability Discrimination Act 1995 Documents to be submitted • Form of tender • Detailed quotation including o the total project cost of removal and disposal of existing equipment, o design (including illustration for assessment of play value), o installation, o resurfacing, o commissioning, o independent post-installation safety inspection. • An explanation of how materials and processes of installation will be environmentally sustainable. • An outline of expected timeline including a commitment to a completion date. • A summary of two similar projects that you have delivered successfully elsewhere with contact details for at least two referees. • Details for any subcontractors to be employed on the contract. • Confirmation that insurance for Public Liability is in place for all contractors working on the Contract with a minimum sum insured of £5,000,000. • Details of any warranties or guarantees provided. • Confirmation of compliance with BS EN 1176. • Copies of any test certificates that apply to the equipment. P-0193 Playground Equipment and Multi Play Units (MPU)

Manchester City Council are currently improving fixed playgrounds within parks across the city. This project is split into the following lots: • Lot 1 Supply of Fixed Playground Equipment • Lot 2 Multi Play Units (MPU) Supply only All installed in accordance with manufacturer's instructions (see EN 1176-7:2008, Clause 6). Consideration of inclusive play installations and/or adaptations are paramount. Lot 1 Supply of Fixed Playground Equipment Supply only of a range of accessible and inclusive play equipment in accordance with EN 1176. Play equipment to be supplied according to EN 10219 technical delivery requirements, tolerances, dimensions and sectional properties of cold-formed welded steel structural. Swing frames - a range of swing units that incorporate steel top bar, anti-wrap hangers, integral side barriers. In Ground Accessible Carousels - with steel decking and large, sealed bearings, easy access for maintenance and carpet securing ring to ensure carpet does not catch or foul operation. Spring Rockers - with above ground accessible fixings Rotators - Hanging carousel and rotating poles to have large heavy duty sealed bearing. Lot 2 Multi Play Units (MPU) Supply only - must provide a wide range of high value multi-play provisions for a range of ages and abilities.
