Description

Salford Priors is located in Warwickshire and is looking to regenerate the current play equipment on Salford Priors Playing Field, School Avenue, Salford Priors, Warwickshire, WR11 8XB. In particular, the Council is looking for an innovative scheme which will provide a wide range of play opportunities and challenges for children of all abilities aged up to 16.  In addition, the scheme should demonstrate that each item of equipment and the overall design:

Offers physically challenging play which will develop physical strength and ability for all ages and abilities.
Encourages social interaction between all ages and abilities.
Offers a range of opportunities for play which will include balance and coordination.

The scheme should seek to enhance its setting within the existing landscape.

Equipment should include such items as:

Multi Play item for toddlers
Multi Play item for 5-9 year olds
Multi Play item for 10-16 year olds to provide various play features for sliding, climbing, rope play, balance and have multi access points.
An aerial spinning item
Multi seesaw
An accessible roundabout
A floor level trampoline
A double zip wire

All materials should be as far as possible natural materials.

Salford Priors Parish Council is looking for a play area design with the highest play value and which offers best value for money and can demonstrate it caters for children with disabilities.  The Council is not obliged to accept the lowest, or any quotation. It is expected the contractor awarded the project will remove and dispose of current play equipment.  The proposed total budget is £75,000.

The Parish Clerk would be willing to meet on site on:

Wednesday 10th January 2018 at 11am followed by a discussion in the Memorial Hall.

You must provide a postal specification, quotation and design depicted as A3 dimensional image for the supply and installation of the equipment by 12:00 noon on Friday 9th  February to The Clerk, Salford Priors Parish Council, 3 Leasowes Rd, Offenham, Evesham, WR11 8RQ.  Quotes will not be considered if the site visit is not attended, nor will any quotes be accepted by email. 

A decision will be made at the Parish Council meeting on Wednesday 21st February 2018.

TENDER FOR APPOINTMENT OF AN INTEGRATED CONSULTANCY TEAM (ICT) FOR PEACE PLUS YOUTH ACTIVITY PROJECTS REF: 2526 TNDR CP 067L2

Fermanagh and Omagh District Council invite tenders from suitability qualified Lead Consultants registered on Construction Line to submit a tender on behalf of an Integrated Consultancy Team (ICT) for the completion of RIBA Stages 0 to 7 for two Youth Activity Projects one in Enniskillen and one in Omagh, funded through SEUPB’s Peace Plus programme. The Integrated Consultancy Team (ICT) will be required to develop, design and consult upon the scheme to secure all required statutory approvals, coordinate the procurement for an Integrated Supply Team (IST) to deliver the scheme, administer the contract, and supervise the scheme during construction through to a snag free completion and handover. The ICT Team will be required to ensure the scheme is designed and constructed to the standards required by the various statutory authorities, consultees and environmental agencies where appropriate. The anticipated contract period will be 24 months with a 12-month defect period. The Fermanagh and Omagh Local Action Plan under Theme 1 will see the delivery of a PEACEPLUS Capital Youth Programme, creating two enhanced shared youth outdoor spaces. Council have indentified the development of two schemes to be sited in appropriate locations in Omagh and Enniskillen. The projects were identified based on priority where need and demand was evident, and in cognisance of the consultation findings with an ask for projects to be located in proximity to other leisure facilities, shops and cafes, making the major urban centres of Enniskillen and Omagh prime locations. Projects will seek to provide the youth with open areas that provide a safe place to congregate with shelter from the weather and with provision for activities that appeal to youth.
