      Scope of Service

Provide surveying resources (personnel and equipment) to deliver the required survey services at the Old Oak Common Station Site.
      
      Topographical Surveys 
      Establish the survey control network
      Site setting out
      Undertake as built surveys
      Survey Data Management 
      
It is expected that the survey team will consist of the following
      •Survey Manager / Work Package Manager
      •Managers
      •CAD Manager
      •Technician
      
      The subcontractor shall set up procedures and process such that they are able to ensure co-ordination of resource and services such that they are available are planned for other delivery packages.

Systems provided by the contractor shall include, as appropriate, but not limited to
•Laser Scanning
Photogrammetry
•(Drones) (minimum one flight per month for duration of contract on agreed flight path for site)
•mesh monitoring systems
•mapping
      
1. Conversion of existing 'legacy' data so that it is aligned with the Project Surveying Strategic Approach shall be undertaken as required. 
2.Technical assurance of all surveys undertaken shall be in accordance with [insert WI reference]
3. Where survey works require work at height, for example top of retaining walls the subcontractor is to provide work at height control measures.
4. All documents which require NR / LU / TfL / 3rd Party approvals will be submitted by the Contractor, authored and checked by the subcontractor.  
5. The subcontractor is to supply safety critical staff for railway worksite

About the buyer's selection process:
Respondents to this opportunity should be advised that shortlisted applicants will be invited to tender through an external ERP system.
      
The exact scoring criteria are currently being developed by BBVS, and shortlisted suppliers will be invited to register for the ERP system in due course.
      
What is clear at this stage is that tenders will be scored competitively across a range of criteria, such as, but not limited to:  HSEQ, Commercial, Programme, Methodology (particularly with working in a track environment).

Lower Thames Crossing (Kent Roads) - Ground Investigation Works

The Lower Thames Crossing (LTC) is a significant infrastructure project aimed at addressing congestion and pollution issues at the Dartford Crossing, the only road crossing of the River Thames east of London. Key Responsibilities • All activities will be supervised by Skanska and Mott MacDonald, with a nominated Site Agent responsible for the fieldwork's technical direction and quality. • A logging supervisor will ensure consistency in geotechnical and environmental sampling, testing, and reporting, adhering to relevant standards and project-specific requirements. • Personnel must have relevant qualifications and experience, including BDA or NVQ certifications for drilling and engineering professionals. Specifications and Standards • Work will be performed under BS EN 1997-2:2007, Eurocode 7, and other related standards, ensuring high-quality geotechnical data and testing. • The contractor must implement a quality management system aligned with ISO 9001:2024, ISO 14001:2024, and ISO 45001:2024. • Cores and samples will be logged and described following standards such as BS 5930:2015, BS EN ISO 14688, and BS EN ISO 14689. • Data management will follow BS 8574:2014 to ensure precise and secure handling of geotechnical information. Monitoring and Reporting • Groundwater and gas monitoring installations will be set up as per specifications. Readings will be taken during fieldwork and for up to 12 months post-fieldwork, with data delivered in AGS and Excel formats. • Monthly groundwater sampling will continue for six months after installations are completed. General Requirements • Day shifts for off-road works and night closures for on-road activities. • Skilled and experienced supervisory staff are required to ensure safe, efficient, and compliant operations. • All personnel and methods are subject to approval by the Investigation Supervisor. This ground investigation opportunity is critical to the successful delivery of the LTC project and seeks highly qualified and experienced contractors to meet the outlined requirements.

Welsh Procurement Alliance seek to establish a framework for the construction of new build housing projects. The works (including associated services and/or supplies) to be delivered include the development of new build housing projects, including ‘Housing’ (housing, bungalows, flats, apartments etc.) and ‘Accommodation’ (sheltered accommodation, care homes, extra care e.g. dementia) student accommodation etc. The proposed scope would also include, but not limited to: - Conversions to form new dwellings, flats, bedsits or any other form of accommodation. - Any joint ventures, partnerships and such like between contracting authorities and principal contractors. - Package deals between contracting authorities and contractors. - The provision of community facilities as part of a wide construction project. These services may include: - Demolition - Site clearance - Diversion and/or disconnection of existing site services - Geotechnical and exploratory ground investigation and surveys - Separation from existing buildings - Decontamination. - Ground improvement and/or compaction. - Creation of access routes, ramps, security provisions and signage - Provision of utilities to the site (temporary or permanent) WPA is currently consulting with a number of Contracting Authorities across Wales who are being asked to be named as potential commissioners and users of the proposed framework when it becomes live in 2025. Most of these named contracting authorities have used WPA housebuilding frameworks/DPS over the past 5 years for various new build housing works. These are indicative of potential users and not a formal commitment to use this Framework once live.
