Description

The University is looking for tenders to support the supply of its Coach and Mini Bus needs. Looking at spend analysis, Durham University has spent on average £310,000
per annum in hiring coaches and mini buses over the last 3 financial years.
The main objective of the contract is to provide a high quality transport service for staff, students and visitors within the University. The key considerations include, but not
limited to, health & safety of all passengers, reliability and flexibility of service, staff, student, and visitor satisfaction, and promoting positive relations with the wider
community.
In addition to the above, we are striving to appoint operators who can demonstrate capability in helping us meet our duty of care to our staff and students. The University
expects that the successful operators will have a duty of care when carrying passengers and it is essential that passenger safety and passenger care are the top priority for
operators to follow.
We are aiming to put together a framework agreement for coach and mini bus hire with a small number of operators so that we can work with coach operators, and increase
the possibilities of creating better working relationships between the University and coach operators.

1. Contracted Service Requirements The successful provider will: • Deliver transport to and from Wolgarston High School (ST19 5RX) and The Rural Enterprise Academy (ST19 5PH). • Operate Monday-Friday during term time, for 38 weeks (190 school days) per academic year. • Ensure vehicles meet required capacity (currently envisaged: 70, 52, 52 seats or alternative configuration). • Implement a QR scanning system for pupil tracking and payment validation. This can be supplied by the Trust or included as a separate line item in the tender. • Providers must ensure secure mounting, charging, and safeguarding of the device. 5. Safeguarding Requirements Penk Valley Academy Trust places the highest priority on safeguarding and child protection. Providers must demonstrate robust safeguarding practices, including: • Enhanced DBS checks for all drivers and passenger assistants, renewed in line with statutory guidance. • Letter of assurance provided from the company in line with KCSIE. • Mandatory safeguarding training for all staff involved in pupil transport. • Clear reporting procedures for safeguarding concerns, aligned with the Trust's Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL). • Vehicle safety standards, including seatbelts for all passengers, regular maintenance checks, and compliance with statutory transport regulations. • Incident management procedures, including immediate notification to the Trust of any safeguarding or safety-related event. Providers must submit evidence of safeguarding policies and compliance with Keeping Children Safe in Education (KCSIE) and relevant DfE transport guidance. 6. Extension of Existing Dynamic Purchasing System for Passenger Transport Services

Swindon Borough Council (The Council) has set up a Dynamic Purchasing System (DPS) for the provision of Passenger Transport Services. Swindon Borough Council invites expressions of interest from suitably qualified and experienced service providers to apply to join the Dynamic Purchasing System for the provision of passenger transport services. The Dynamic Purchasing System has been split into 5 Lots: Lot 1 Bus & Coach – Individual routes / bus services (public, education and social care transport). Lot 2 Minibus - Individual routes (public and education transport). Lot 3 Taxi - Individual routes (public and education transport). Lot 4 Minibus Social Care and Community Transport – this will consist of dial a ride and shopping service, day centre and ad hoc transport requirements. Lot 5 Taxi Social Care Transport - Complete Package of all routes and service needs If you are successfully appointed to the DPS following your submission you will be invited by the Council to submit tenders for relevant services through a call for competition. This DPS remains open for any supplier to request to participate throughout the duration of the DPS. To participate, Suppliers will need to Register as a Supplier with ProContract, www.supplyingthesouthwest.org.uk, then Register an Interest before obtaining access to the Application documents. Non Franchised Bus and DRT Services

Transport for Greater Manchester (TfGM) wishes to implement a DPS from which TfGM will procure Subsidised Services including but not limited to: Network Bus Services, Subsidised Bus Services, Resource Contracts, Demand Response contracts and Metroshuttle contracts. The DPS will provide TfGM with a selection of qualified operators to supply tendered services in areas where there is a social need that is not served by the commercial bus network. With this being a Dynamic Purchasing System (DPS) there is no guarantee of any specific amount or type of work being allocated to any of the operators (including the Highest Scoring Supplier). Please note the tender documents will be made available at https://procontract.due-north.com/ from the 21st November 2024. All contracts awarded under the DPS will follow further competitions which will commence early 2025. Only qualified operators that are on the DPS will be invited to participate.
