Description

Guy's and St Thomas' NHS Foundation Trust have procured an Energy Performance Contracting (EPC) Framework Agreement which will provide a model for public sector bodies wishing to implement energy efficiency and local energy generation measures to their buildings or estate.
Note that this is a contract award notice and the procurement has already been run.

Station Infrastructure Enhancement

Station Infrastructure Enhancement - Timber Canopies; Staircase Tactile Remediation; Platforms Package. This planned contract seeks to group three projects similar in nature under a NEC3 Option A - Priced Contract with Activity Schedule, this is the standard fixed price option, to better manage resource and streamline delivery of benefits. The three workstreams have completed their detailed designs and are ready to award to a Principal Contractor to deliver. The three projects are as follows: Staircase Tactiles Remediation - The Staircase Tactiles Remediation Project seeks to install corduroy tactiles at 7 locations on the London Underground network, including the following: St James's Park; Paddington; Maida Vale; Acton Town; Kilburn Park; Gloucester Road; Stepney Green This project's aim is to install corduroy paving at those locations where it is missing to improve safety in its stations for passengers, to improve TfL's compliance with TfL standards, and DfT guidance, and to provide a more accessible and inclusive transport system. Timber Canopies - The Timber Canopies project aims to do remedial work at five station stations including Fairlop, Wimbledon Park, Willesden Green, Hammersmith and North Ealing. The main objective is to extend the life of the asset as well as reducing the risk of objects falling from height and provide a safer environment for customers and staff. The aim of the project is to resolve water ingress issues as well as replacing rotten timber and/or resolving structural defects. Each canopy has different range of defects, and they could vary from: Replace rotten timber boards; Replace rotten timber structural members; Replace cracked; glazing; Repair broken gutters; Repair cracks in concrete base; Replace bird netting; Painting and decorating Platforms Package - The Platforms Renewals Project aims to conduct minor and major repairs, maintenance works and replacements i.e. tactiles, paving slabs to 8 stations (Clapham Common; Clapham North; Covent Garden; Kennington; King's Cross; St john's Wood; West Hampstead; Willesden Green) across the LU network. The project's objective is to remove trip hazards and to refurbish the condition of platforms and customers walkways as well as increasing safety through nosing stone reinforcement.
