A Competitive Flexible procurement for the pre-construction services and construction works for Andover Theatre. The existing Site is owned by the Authority. It included a vacant retail unit (Unit 62) which was last occupied by Poundstretcher. To support the construction of Andover’s New Theatre, the Authority has let a separate contract for demolition of the existing unit, leaving a clear site ready for development. The new theatre will be the new home of The Lights, a successful, Authority operated theatre venue, currently located adjacent to the Andover leisure centre. The proposed new theatre forms the cornerstone of the new Andover Masterplan (https://www.thinkandovertowncentre.co.uk/masterplan) for the regeneration of Andover to bring more business, homes and activity to the town centre. Once complete, it will transform and revitalise the site spanning between the High Street and the Town Mills Riverside Park. The estimated combined total value of the Contracts is £25 million (excluding VAT), the breakdown is as follows: • Professional Services Contract: £600,000 (exc VAT), • Main Works Contract: £24,400,000 (exc VAT). The Council is undertaking a competitive procurement process for a four-year multi-supplier Framework Agreement for the supply of highway construction works required by the council in relation to Highways Major Projects. The framework agreement shall comprise two lots: one for Highways Projects and the other for Structures and Geotechnical Projects . Tenderers will be selected based on quality, financial and social value criteria. The procurement of the framework is intended to replace a series of open tenders for construction works. This Framework is established to support the delivery of highways infrastructure projects across the Local Authority's network. It provides a compliant, efficient, and flexible route to market, enabling access to pre-qualified suppliers for works ranging from £0.5m to £10m for Lot 1, and £0.25m to £10m for Lot 2. Lot 1: Highways Projects (£0.5m - £10m) Scope: New road construction and major junction upgrades. Carriageway widening, integrated transport schemes, and public realm enhancements. Earthworks, surfacing, drainage, kerbing, lighting, and signage. Stakeholder engagement and statutory undertaker coordination. Design and build (where applicable). Full scope will be provided in the tender documents. Lot 2: Structures and Geotechnical Projects (£0.25m - £10m) Scope: Bridge construction and refurbishment. Retaining walls, culverts, tunnels, and geotechnical stabilisation. Drainage schemes. Structural strengthening, waterproofing, parapet upgrades. Piling, soil nailing, slope stabilisation. Southend on Sea City Council are seeking tenders from suitably qualified contractors with certified passivhaus construction experience to carry out the construction and final technical design of 3no new build Residential properties. 1no to be built to the new Future Home Standard 2025 Option 1 principles which is located at Denton Avenue and 2no to be Passivhaus Certified at Bradford Bury. The 2-bedroom 3 person dwellings will consist of 1no single detached dwelling at Denton Avenue and a pair of semi-detached dwellings at Bradford Bury. The contract will be let under JCT 2024 Design and Build Contract with Employers Requirements, Drawings, Contract Sum Analysis, Building Specification, Mechanical and Electrical Specification. The contractor will be expected to complete the detailed design of RIBA Stages 4 to 7. Planning Permission has been granted for both sites at Bradford Bury and Denton Avenue.
