COV - CVLR City Centre First Contractor

Overhead Catenary System for HS2 Ltd

High Speed Two (HS2) Limited ('HS2 Ltd') is the body responsible for developing and promoting the new high speed railway system known as High Speed Two (HS2). HS2 will initially run between London and Birmingham (Phase 1). The Railway Systems tranche of work incorporates a number of critical disciplines for the HS2 Project, including without limitation the design, construction, commissioning and testing of track, overhead catenary, lineside M & E & tunnels, power, signalling and communications. This procurement relates to Overhead Catenary Systems (OCS), for which HS2 Ltd procured the design, manufacture, supply, installation, testing and commissioning. The Overhead Catenary Systems covers 469 single track kms, including 250 bridges, 58 viaducts, 47 underbridges, 148 overbridges and 115 culverts. Six passing / maintenance loops/sidings and four complex track junctions. 131 point ends, including 99 high-speed turnouts (between 130km/h and 230 km/h), 32 low-medium speed turnouts (up to and including 100km/h), 5 traps or diamonds.

Operate and Maintain Plain Line Grinders and Miller

Network Rail shall provide six items of Plant (C2102, C2103, C4401, C4402, C4403, SF-06) to the Supplier who will assume responsibility for the items of Plant for the Term of the Agreement and who will make sure the items of Plant deliver the Services. The term of the agreement is 5 years from 1 April 2025, with the option to extend for a further 3 periods of 1 year. In addition, the Supplier shall also be required to supply, operate and maintain a corrective rail head remediation service (a turnkey service). The Supplier shall be required to apply all aspects of this Agreement apart from where such obligation is not applicable for a turnkey service.
