Litter Picking

Bathurst Park & Recreation Trust are a charity and are seeking an organisation or individual to undertake litter picking. Contract Duration: 1st April 2025 - 31st March 2029 Submission Deadline: Noon, Friday 6th December 2024 Overview: Bathurst Park & Recreation Trust invites tenders for a four-year litter picking contract, starting 1st April 2025. The work involves the regular litter picking, emptying of dog fouling bins, checking for and removing broken glass in public area and occasional sweeping in Bathurst Park. Litter Picking (7 days per week) • Litter pick the recreational area including the bowling green and tennis courts • Litter pick the playing fields • Litter pick the gardens and bandstand Dog Fouling Waste Bins • To empty and reline the 2 dog fouling bins at various locations within Bathurst Park Recreation Ground. Additional Work • One-off additional litter picking after events held within the park, this includes Easter, Community and Fireworks events. Site Details Bathurst Recreational Area including Bowling Green and Tennis Courts • Litter pick the recreational area including the bowling green, tennis courts and the car park. • Empty and reline with bags 13 litter bins • Remove any waste from the storage bin adjacent to the Groundmen's Workshop (this includes general waste from the Workshop itself). Playing Fields • Litter pick the playing field • Check all sports areas for dog fouling • Empty and reline with bags, 8 litter bins and 2 dog fouling bins Garden and Bandstand • Litter pick garden area • Empty and reline 2 litter bins • Sweep and remove any broken glass on footpaths around the bandstand if necessary. • Check the area for dog fouling Additional Work • The Trust holds a number of events during the year including Easter, Summer and Fireworks events, following an event additional litter picking is required. Dog Fouling Bins • Empty and reline weekly 2 dog fouling bins at various locations within Bathurst Park (please refer to map below of locations) • Dog waste must be collected in sealed bags and disposed of at an approved waste disposal facility. Submission Requirements: • Written submissions only (no emails) • Addressed to the Chairman of Bathurst Park & Recreation Trust • Sealed envelopes marked "Litter Picking Tender Document - PRIVATE AND CONFIDENTIAL; NOT TO BE OPENED UNTIL FRIDAY 6th DECEMBER 2024" Accompanying Documents: • Public Liability Insurance • Certification and training information • Equipment details • Two references (preferably local authority based)
