Pharmacy Prescribers Pathfinder

North of England Commissioning Support (NECS) is a commissioning support service working for and on behalf of North East and North Cumbria ICB (NENC) (the Contracting Authority), who are seeking to test the market and request suppliers express their interest in a Pathfinder Programme for Independent Prescribing in Community Pharmacy. The purpose of this Pathfinder is to help them shape the future of prescribing as part of NHS clinical services provided by Community Pharmacies. For more information please see: www.england.nhs.uk/primary-care/pharmacy/pharmacy-integration-fund/independent-prescribing/ North East and North Cumbria ICB (NENC) are looking to identify 10 Pathfinder sites initially via Expression of Interest. The Pathfinder sites in NENC will be involved in exciting work to explore how community pharmacists can best deliver an integrated prescribing offer, for acute illnesses, alongside general practices in their local community. The Pathfinder term is for an initial period of approximately 5 months expected to commence, via a staggered approach, on 20 11 2023.
